    People

We are committed to a strong health and safety culture within the company and with our clients. We aim to create a workplace that encourages diversity and equal opportunities for all, and are never influenced by issues of gender, race, creed, colour, age or personal disability. This is evident by the diversity across the whole company from our internship placements to our management team. We actively encourage professional development through our CEPD scheme.

    Community

We actively support learning and sharing of knowledge with industry, for example through our free webinars, mentoring, and volunteer support. Our Managing Director has been a NZTC TechX mentor since 2018, winning mentor of the year 2020 and delivery partner of the year 2025.

We also support the wider community through team fund-raising challenges, donations, and proactive support for employees undertaking volunteer work, giving every member of staff the opportunity for paid time to undertake volunteering each year.

Our Inverurie office provided essential support for food banks during the Covid-19 pandemic and in 2024 Astrimar became the sponsor for provision of locally-sourced fresh fruit and vegetables for the Inverurie Storehouse Community Pantry trailer, supporting those who rely on crucial community help in the current challenging economic climate.

We have also coordinated the purchase of, and continue to manage, a community defibrillator located outside our office for the benefit of the local businesses, residents and wider community.

    Contracting and Procurement

We are committed to ethical working and always conduct our own services honestly and honourably, and expect our clients and suppliers to do the same. We will always conform to relevant law and have strict procedures in place to ensure transparency and to monitor ethical practices. Where possible, we utilise local suppliers to support growth of the local economy and minimise any associated carbon footprint.
