Join us for this Energy Tech Talks webinar hosted by Technology Catalogue.
As more wells reach the end of their life, operators need P&A solutions that are safe, compliant and cost-effective. Non-standard wells and new plugging technologies need a clear, evidence-based way to assess and show acceptable risk.
In this webinar, Brian Willis, Senior Engineer, and Caroline Roberts Haritonov, Managing Director of Astrimar Ltd give an overview of Astrimar’s industry-leading approaches to risk-based well plugging and abandonment.
This webinar provides an overview of our industry leading approaches including:
A risk-based decision methodology to support well plugging and abandonment
ALARP demonstration for non-standard wells, including new and existing plugging technologies
Predictive well integrity modelling using Astrimar’s STEM-flow software to support well risk assessment and barrier reliability assurance
Qualification of alternative barrier technologies including an overview of the NZTC Well P&A Technology Qualification Framework
Brian specialises in reliability engineering, technical risk assessment, and technology qualification, with particular expertise in well decommissioning. He contributed to the OEUK Use of Barrier Materials in Well Decommissioning Guidelines and the Well Decommissioning for CO2 Storage Guidelines.
Caroline is a chartered engineer and Fellow of the IMechE with more than 30 years of engineering and consultancy experience in the energy industry. Her expertise is in reliability engineering, technical risk and integrity management, and technology qualification.
Together, Brian and Caroline developed the NZTC Well P&A Qualification Framework. Both have helped operators and technology developers use risk-based approaches for novel well abandonment solutions.
This webinar ends with a live Q&A, where attendees can ask their questions directly to the Astrimar presenters. For webinar registration please click here.
