Introduction to Technology Readiness Levels

Description

Free online webinar introduces the basic principles of TRL (Technology Readiness Level) assessment as a measure of technology maturity, in support of Technology Qualification

Course Details

Many technology developers (suppliers) and technology users (customers) use the concept of Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) to measure technology maturity and readiness for deployment. This concept was first developed by NASA and is now used by many other sectors including Defence, Renewables and Oil and Gas. Different sectors have developed their own TRL ladders with potential investors, funders or end-users often requiring an assessment of TRL ahead of investment.

This free online webinar explains the TRL approach with TRL ladder examples from different industries, including hardware, software and system aspects. As well as introducing the concept of TRL, this presentation explains the focus at each TRL stage together with expected activities, including types of testing, for TRL achievement.
